Handmade Paper
The materials I use tell their story, they speak for me. The recycled paper tells tales of a million dollars in pre-approved debt, brave battles of non-profit organizations fighting against climate change and animal cruelty, repetitive tasks of a job in an office, and offers of endless opportunities for entertainment.
The leaves in my work have been collected from trees I know, and some that I grew. They have a different story, one of history and survival. The intimate union of the two elements creates the most amazing stains, fossils, hieroglyphics, heirlooms, and relics for me, and I am eternally grateful.
Handmade paper from 100% recycled materials with leaf impressions and stains, fabric dye
